Hidden Hollow Farms

Hi, I’m Denise. That is me in the picture.
Seven years ago I bought a small farm with a old farm house. I love old farm houses and that was my intent, to own an old farm house and have a place for my horses. I named the farm Hidden Hollow Farms. I live down in the hollow and I have 3 neighbors. It’s a nice peaceful and private place.
I spent the first five years remodeling the house as much as I could keeping with the old style of the house.  I ran a new fence line, built a corral, ran water lines and had the experience of hiring farm hands for the job.
I have spent the last two years researching and trying to decide what to do with my farm. I figured if I had a farm I might as well make it work for me.
If I can get the farm to at least make enough money to make the payments I believe it is worth it. So I now have a five year and ten year plan for the farm. I would like to get it paid off before I retire from my day job.
My plans includes goats, horses, chickens, pigs, and dogs! I just bought my first Australian Shepherd pup.  Her name is Chelsea. I plan on using her to herd the goats and I know it will take a couple of years to have her trained. I have contacted a couple of trainers about getting her trained next year. Right now we are working on housebreaking.
I have also been looking at the Great Pyrenees. I have issues with coyotes. The last time I had chickens the coyotes got them all. I found a dead coyote in the chicken coup. How that happened I have no idea, but he is not welcome on the farm here.
I created the website for family, friends, and people who are interested in beginning farming and the whole process that I will be going thru.
I do plan on selling things from the farm on my website in the future. So stop back periodically to see any updates to the website and what is going on at the farm.
